Featured Musician : Jake Newton

Jake Newton is a Singer-Songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles, California. He’s released two records under his own Label "LoverFighter Music." His songs have been in various commercials, television shows and movies including composing for the film “Loving Annabelle”. Most Recently MTV’s Real World New Orleans featured Jake’s songs.

Jake has shared the stage and toured with acts such as Cary Brothers, Ingrid Michaelson, Greg Laswell, and Ben Lee. He Continues to tour and will be releasing his third album in the spring of 2011.

I first heard of Jake's Music a couple years ago when he had just put out his EP "I'm a Bird." His music is soulful, calming and has a very revealing quality to it. I hope you enjoy checking out some of his tracks on the Downright Fiction homepage player.
